Dr. Dane Tatarniuk, DVM, MS, DACVS-LA is a faculty Professor of Equine Surgery at Iowa State University. Originally from Saskatchewan, Canada, Dr. Tatarniuk received his DVM from the University of Saskatchewan in 2011. This was followed by an internship at Littleton Equine Medical Center, in Littleton, CO, and an equine surgery & lameness residency at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Tatarniuk joined Iowa State University as Faculty Professor in Equine Surgery in 2016. Dr. Tatarniuk’s research interests include equine sports medicine, orthopedics, and joint therapy. He also has a special clinical focus on performance disorders in Western performance and pleasure horses. Dr. Tatarniuk services clients from all over the upper Midwest, including Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, South Dakota and Nebraska. Dr. Tatarniuk provides locum and consultation services for Becker Equine periodically to ensure we provide our clients with quality, specialist care year-round.
